“Lovingly” named after two of our begrudging brewers, Frick & Frack is a pinot noir barrel fermented Belgian specialty dubbel. This ale was fermented during the “cold” central coast late winter in pinot noir barrels used once prior for the 2016 batch of Café Noir. Followed up with a secondary fermentation with both tart & sweet cherries where it aged for 6 months. The imparting of tannins from the barrels & uncontrolled fermentation produced a tart dubbel with a big ester profile.
